We will NOT be using 406 again. Losing the best dog of all time was heartbreaking. We requested clay nose prints to be used for custom jewelry, not the laser-engraved crap 406 sells, but a 3rd party. We double-checked, triple-checked, paid extra, asked nicely, and were assured they would be done. It was even written across the middle of the work order in inch-tall letters. They neglected to do the nose prints. He is gone forever, and there is no chance to make it right. Our hearts are broken all over again. In a service industry, details matter. Their apologies we're nice, but nothing they can do or say will ever fill this hole in our lives. read more

If I could give the Helena location more stars I would. We lost one of our fur babies unexpectedly and quickly. I was given 406 Pet Crematory as an option because it's winter in Montana and our ground is frozen solid. With cremation we would be able to bring our dog home and bury her ashes when the ground thaws. The staff conveyed their compassion and thoughtfulness in the package I received containing our dog's ashes and a small lock of her fur. It makes me feel as though they took good care of our girl and they really understood how much this little dog meant to us. I highly recommend them and I can't thank them enough. read more

I recently used their services and was deeply disappointed. I could not believe that they sent back with the remains; a letter (advertisement really) offering keepsake items available for purchase. In my opinion, I thought it was in very poor taste. Because of this "hard" sell action, I looked more closely at the items they sent me. From these items, I am sure that they did not send me back my pet remains - or even pet remains at all. Included was a paw print. The print was of four toes but my pet was polydactyl ... hummm. The date of death was incorrect on the certificate. The weight of the ashes sent was more than my pet ever weighted during its life. The color of the ashes were all the same color of white with no variations and the actual size of the ashes themselves were all uniform in appearance with no evidence of his microchip. I called the director listed on the certificate with my concerns and was told someone would be contacting me regarding my concerns. I have not gotten any phone call. I was mailed a certificate with the corrected date of death - with another letter stating I could order a silver piece of keepsake jewelry for free. I asked if I could bring my pet directly to their facility and was told it would be much cheaper to use the service provided by my Vet. I was told my service would cost eighty dollars. The Vet charged one hundred dollars. Again, in my opinion, I think there is some type of collusion going on and would recommend folks search for another provider for this type of service. read more
