My husband and I had reservations for Friday night. We were seated and a few minutes later our waiter took our drink orders. Water and beer/wine came out promptly. At the same time we ordered a California roll as an appetizer. It was a ridiculous wait for sushi. The manager (I think he was the manager) came by our table to apologize for the wait maybe after about thirty minutes, and we finally got the sushi about another thirty minutes later. It took nearly one hour (not exaggerating) to get our sushi. I ordered the seared scallops which were cooked perfectly (medium, medium rare) however they were very VERY salty. Lentils and fennel were unremarkable, not my cup of tea. 6/10 My husband ordered the 333 filet trio which he said was 10/10. He said the filet was delicious. Well seasoned. Very tender. Cooked a perfect medium, medium rare. There was a nice variety to the toppings on the filets. Service was overall good. Our waters were always refilled when needed. Waiter was attentive and polite. He told us the market fish and what the popular dishes were. We will return! read more

Leaving a bad review because the waitress did not check if we had paid via the QR code provided. The receipt clearly states that if we pay via the QR code the waiter is notified we can simply leave anytime we want. We'll 10 mins after we left we got a phone call from her stating we didn't pay and we asked if she checked and she just said that she was going to check and that she'd call back if there's any problems. Obviously since we had paid we did not get a second phone call. Unnecessary stress and embarrassing to say the least. As for the food, the food was decent, except for the potatoes they were dry. So I'd advise to pay with a credit/debit card if you want to avoid a phone call. read more

It's always sad when a place that has always been consistently good in both food, service, and hospitality has gotten so comfortable that they are now consistently disappointing. We have enjoyed eating at 333 since it first opened. These past dining experiences have always been good. But my last two visits have been super disappointing. We went to celebrate my daughters 19th birthday. We were seated on the patio and were a party of 4. Our waiter was arrogant and condescending. He literally rolled his eyes at us a couple of times and once while we were speaking to him he just up and walked away. This is the first time we have ever experienced rudeness at 333. We left shaking our heads at how poorly the evening went .... but since it was our first bad experience at 333 we just blew it off as a fluke night. Then about a week ago my daughter and I were enjoying a nice day and decided to stop in for lunch at 333 on the patio. Our faith was somewhat restored. From the bartender to the busser we were treated well. But our server had a habit of disappearing for long lengths of time and we found ourselves flagging down a busser to get help. I guess my total reason for reviewing 333 Pacific after years of enjoying and recommending them is because it's easy to forgive an overcooked steak... or a dish that is not quite right. But being ignored, disrespected or being treated rudely by the server is unacceptable. read more

WORST restaurant I've ever been. Stop there for lunch with my husband on the way to san diego. We asked for the check. The waiter came and took all the dish while we were still sitting at the table which is fine for us. Unfortunately, he dropped the whole sauce cup with full red sauce in it all over my 250$ dollar new sneakers and also my pants. He continued bringing all the dish away without saying anything. I was so upset and my husband ask to see the manager. She said sorry and nothing she can do it was just the accident. She said I can leave my shoes for them to clean and wait for few hours. I have no time for that. I end up cleaning myself about 15 minutes. There are still red sauce stain all over my outfit. Warning! This 333 Pacific restaurant at Oceanside has no responsibility for the mistake they did to you! They ruin your day. Waste your time. Waste your money. So ridiculous. read more

Only place to have a nice dinner around Oside Peir! The dinning crowd is great. The bar area has the younger bar-ish vibe; less my style. I miss the old clam chowder item on the menu pre-Covid but overall, food & drinks are great. I didn't like this place the first time I visited (bc of the server) but gave it a few more tries and they were great. I'd wear something a little nicer than a sun dress and sandals. However, you can just sit at the bar for a more casual kind of night out. read more

Dined this evening at 333 for my anniversary. The staff was five stars and our waitress was just excellent. Tried the fried green tomatoes and was just so fantastic I wanted more. Had the 20 ounce rib eye cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. Shared the 14 oz. T-bone steak cooked perfectly and was very tender. For dessert we had the cheesecake with pomegranate topping, and a special dessert whipped powdered sugar with lemon filling with happy anniversary written on the plate. My experience and the meal was just excellent and we could not ask for more. I will definitely come back and try other meals. read more

Very disappointed with the restaurant - We where in town to celebrate a birthday we read the reviews and the viewed the menu on line and thought it looked great. We arrived at the restaurant at 7.30 pm for a 7.45 pm dinner - we had a drink in the bar and the T.V above the bar area had cage fighting on - not something you would normal expect to see in a high end restaurant. We where seated at 7.45 pm however, it took over 15 minutes for a waiter to bring the menu's. We selected a bottle of wine and again it took another 15 minutes before it was brought to the table, - right wine but on the menu it was listed as a 2018 we received a 2019 bottle. We both ordered the steak thinking that since we both ordered the same dishes that the food would arrive in a timely manner - - after 1 hour sitting down still no food, not even bread, we wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for food - by the time the food arrived we where both almost past the point of eating. Yes the steak was cooked beautifully but the wait time spoiled the whole evening. read more

The restaurant owners got back to me quickly about my comments, so props to them for that. I do understand the underlying issues around mandated and naturally rising costs, and I'll credit them with choosing what they feel is the best way to handle this. We simply disagree on a fundamental level about their choice. Apparently there are several discrete notifications of the surcharge, at the host station and somewhere on the menu. Obviously I missed those, but in the end I feel the most honest and up front way to raise prices (which is what the surcharge is doing) is to actually *raise* *prices*. To me, the menu is in part telling you how much you will pay for each item. So just tell me! Really, do you think a 333 patron will care whether a dish is $42.95 or $43.80? I dropped in to have a few cocktails after having breakfast on the pier. The ambiance of 333 is relaxing. The bar is fully stalked, and the bartender was very knowledgeable. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I took a look at their menu. Well the cucumber mule caught my eye, and guess what...I was hooked!!! The mule was very tasty and refreshing!!! After two of those babies I was feeling good. Hung out talked to other patrons, and had a really good time. The next night I came back for dinner. Of course I had to have a mule. I ordered the trio filet. I am not a big eater, so 3 filets for me was to much food. I ate one, and it was done to perfection. Just like butter. I ate the bite of my second one, but had to tap out as I was stuffed. We also shared a wedge salad and Brussel sprouts. Service was excellent!!! Nice location, great food & cocktails. Summer started and as parents of active teens, a group of us decided to do date night here for a nice break. The food, drinks and service met our expectations. We started at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. It happened to be happy hour too! The calamari and hummus were delicious. Enjoyed their Old Fashioned as well. One of the couples in our party had an unforeseen delay and they accommodated us by moving the reservation to a later time. I had the Salmon, it was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The warm brownie sundae dessert was heavenly, the contrast between the warm brownie, cold ice cream, the crunch from the nut topping and the sweetness from the syrup topped off the night. The service was excellent with friendly staff. One recommendation would be to update their restaurant's decor, a little outdated, but hey, I'll take great food and service over decor any day. read more

The place is a giant slum bar, not a place to go if your having an anniversary. Go on another day, the do have the best King crab legs but you have to watch drunk people stumbling up and down their stairs while you eat them. If you like watching drinkers, this is the place for you. I visited this place for a couple yrs ago and still haven't gone back to re try it out. It was my first time there. I went there thinking the food had to be amazing but I was let down. I've been also told the drinks are amazing here but I just haven't wanted to come back due to the poor dinner experience. Maybe I'll go sometime this year. Food wise: I went with the Kobe beef meetloaf. I remember it being salty. I normally put salt on everything yet to me, this was still salty. It was so bad, I thought about ordering something else but since it was so expensive I just decided to chalk it up as a lose. Ambience wise: It's right next to the pier. Does it get better? Service wise: The manager asked me about my meal and I told him my entre was salty. He said he would inform the chef. Doesn't mean much to me since I spent 40 on a plate of salt. Price wise: For the quality, it wasn't worth it. Overall, it's been a couple yrs and I still remember the experience and I still haven't come back. Fabulous food and a beautiful view! Was visiting the area and found this restaurant on OpenTable- and it was the last day of San Diego Restaurant Week! The three of us ordered from the special Pre Fixe menu, $30 for app, main and dessert. There were lots of options in each section and it was a great value. I used to participate in the "Restaurant Week" deals at home in Chicago, but the menus were usually so limited and uninspired, completely different here! I believe this is a Cohn restaurant, and I've been to Vintana many times, never disappointed. 333 Pacific is NOT the same quality by any stretch. My spicy pineapple martini was barely below room temperature and not spicy by any standard. The menu reads well, but execution is just not there. The meat quality was nothing special, I could do as well stopping by Vons and overcooking it at home. $45 for a substandard filet and a few green beans just doesn't cut it. The management was very, very nice and did not charge for my meal, so there's that, but is that really how you want to spend your evening out? Talking to management about a filet that is dry and stringy? Better to just go somewhere else. read more
