So I had been working with the Mercedes body shop who uses this classless character to be there vendor for wheel repairs. He calls me up on Thursday morning at work and I had to cut short my meeting. He insisted that he needed to pick up my wheel on behalf of the body shop and take it to his shop for repairs. Then he tells me that he will have to leave my car on a jack stand for two days. We agreed that I would call him back later that afternoon . I needed to check with my wife to see which day I could borrow her car since my car would not be drivable for 2 days. I called him back and left him a message. His wife texted me back that someone will call me back shortly. finally, I receive a call back and this lady named Stacy who spent an hour on the phone gathering my information and confirming my appointment for the coming Tuesday. It was now getting close to 4 PM on Monday and since I didn't receive any instructions or any type of reminder, I proceeded to text them to confirm my appointment & inform them about the gate code. To my surprise, I get a text back near the end of Monday from someone at his shop Informing me that Justin the owner was too busy to work on my wheel and to take it somewhere else. By now I had already picked up the rental car for 2 full days costing over $50 a day. I called the owner Justin back to understand what is going on. Very rudely (sounded like he was drunk) he shouts back at me that he is not interested in repairing my wheel because he doesn't want to drive to pick it up!! Then he HANGS UP on me!! Found MontanaMods on Yelp and sent out an inquiry. One of the best decisions ever. Not only did John responded speedily in less than a day, he was able to accommodate my hectic schedule and did a on-the-spot repair during the busy holiday week. He explained everything clearly, including the option of re-machining the wheel (cost more but wheel will look almost brand new, which I will definitely try next time) and even taught me a few tricks to recognize if a wheel has been repaired. The repair process took a little less than an hour and I was extremely impressed the great work that he was able to do in such a short amount of time. He even offered to come back a few days later to "perfect" his work bc he was not satisfied with a tiny little imperfection that I did not even notice; talk about being a perfectionist and wonderful work ethic! Learned that he has been doing this type of work for over 17 years with major luxury automotive dealers including CarMax, BMW, Audi, MBZ, Lexus and Porsche and it shows; definitely an expert in his trade.
