Indeed their work is impressive, and Froilan Elizondo has a great eye and ingenuity to come up with…read moredesign ideas that will accommodate your needs and wants. But BEWARE. Make sure you insist in him filling in the "Completion Date" on your contract before you sign. In my case I failed to ask for that and he simply left it blank. My job of railings and a spiral staircase for a new house which other welders in my neighborhood had done similar to mine in a few weeks took him almost a full year from contract signing date to installation. During that time he continuously lied about the status of my work, telling me it was in the paint booth when he hadn't even started it for example, abandoned the project for months at a time. He made mistakes in taking measurements which resulted in mediocre fixes and he never admitted he made the mistakes nor apologized for the results. Instead he acted as he was doing me the favor of fixing them, again not to 100% of my satisfaction. I was so desperate to obtain my CO to be able to use the house that I accepted some of these. He made a mistake in the calculation of the spacing of the steps of the spiral staircase which placed the entry and exit in the wrong place. In an attempt to correct this he cut off a section of the landing at the top in order to rotate the staircase which only corrected the entry point halfway. In doing so the exit point at the top ended up being too narrow and out of Code because the stair railing/handrail assembly was not modified to conform with the modification of the landing. Then he has the nerve to blame it on me for not providing him with plans, which I did offer as I had did them at the time the contract was signed but he refused them indicating he did not need them. The truth is other welders which I consulted told me the same thing; that they did not need plans, so that did not surprise me. In the process of anchoring the railings to my rooftop terrace he made "core drillings" hitting re-bars in the process which metal shavings from the cut re-bars caused extensive damages to my walls, A/C Units, windows, floors and my boat. He now refuses to accept responsibility for those damages or report it to his insurance. He also refuses to correct the issues with the spiral staircase. If you end up hiring him make sure you get his insurance information. I failed in doing that too. He did appear to be a Gentleman and Man of His Word but boy was I wrong in that assessment!
