Once I arrived, I was able to have a quick consultation and was given a price. The artist was on his way into the shop and when he arrived, it took him about 30 minutes to get settled and do the sketch. One of the things that impressed me was that even though I had looked up the phrase I wanted in French, Endhovian (the artist) spoke with a few people to make sure it was correct. The shop itself was very clean and inviting. The size of it looks small but once you get to the back, you learn that there are tattoo stations downstairs also. Overall, it was a great experience and I would totally recommend it to anyone visiting Paris. Qui vivra verra - She who lives, shall see

I sent a message through yelp and Julie was super nice and responsive (and in English, thank you!!) I was nervous since I've never had a dermal before and didn't know what to do about my issue. Got an appointment with yannick (he speaks better English than he thinks lol) and he was waiting for me in the front when I arrived. The place is super clean, professional and all that you would want a tattoo/piercing place to be if your not in your own country and a bit nervous He removed my piercing super quickly and was so kind to not even charge me (can't thank you enough!) and he gave me a recommendation on a cream to help with the scar I highly recommend even with my short and brief visit I felt so comfortable and at ease here for someone who's never been out the U.S. Before this I'm happy this was the place that took care of me!

I was only in the city for a couple days and my friend and I decided on a whim to get new tattoos…read more I'm usually very particular when choosing an artist to work with, but the design I wanted was small and simple, so we just did a quick search for shops with good reviews that take walk-ins. Abraxas happened to be nearby, so we went for it and I can't believe how we lucked out. My immediate impression upon entering was that this place seemed too upscale to take walk-ins and more like the kind of place where you have to schedule appointments weeks in advance. I was worried we'd be turned away, but we were helped immediately and only had to wait ~30 mins for one of the artists to be available. The tattooist was a native English speaker, which was fortunate for us since my French is extremely rusty and my friend doesn't speak a lick (but all of the staff I talked to spoke English, at the very least proficiently, so we would've been good either way). I had a specific image I wanted and it only took him one minute to prepare the transfer and three minutes more to do the tattoo. My friend had only a vague idea of what she wanted and they were able to work together to come up with something beautiful in no time at all. As far as pricing, my perspective is a bit skewed (since I'm from nyc, where it'll run you one arm to tattoo the other), but I believe the flat fee for under an hour was 100€. All in all, we had a great experience at Abraxas and are both in love with our tattoos. If I happen to be itching for another the next time I'm in town, I know exactly where I'm going!

He used to call me Petit Pan (small bread in Spanish), so I knew I wanted to get my nickname tattooed in France. I looked up tattoo parlors and came across Abraxas, my boyfriend and I had just left the Louvre and I called to see if they would take a walk-in. They were so great and very accommodating, my tattoo was simple and it took like 20 minutes but the memory will stay with me forever.

"The angels are as perfect in form as they are in spirit." - Jeanne d'Arc 1412-1431…read more BONJOUR: WILDCAT FRANCE Is one badass Tattoo Parlor! Located in a historic alleyway in busy Beauborg district of Paris. Serendipity brought me here on my last day in Paris... museums and landmarks for days. French foods, fine wines, a shake of my tail, and haute couture shopping in check. It was time to treat the man in me. I wanted a tattoo to remember all my adventures in old Europe! NOT JUST ANY TATTOO: My European tattoo experience came under some trying times. The coronavirus hit the news hard in the middle of my travels, and Italy was my next stop, but with the grace of the heavens, I somehow was always a couple steps ahead. I pray for those who weren't so fortunate. Originally I booked a tattoo appointment with a world class tattoo artist in London. She already sketched the piece and I paid a 84£ deposit. However, when the day arrived... circumstances arose and I had to cancel. I still had Roma, Paris, Barcelona for the next two weeks, so I went with the vibe. It is, what it is! I will get it done! DO IT IN PARIS: As the days counted down, the historic landmarks came and went... and suddenly it was that faithful day. I fell in love with the romance and class of Paris, while also admiring La Résistance and the spirit of Jeanne d'Arc! Finally my last day in Paris fell on a Monday and most tattoo shops were closed! Yet, I did my research and came across one just a mile from me. So after the Louvre and Duck à l'orange.. WILDCAT FRANCE in PARIS it is! WILDCAT FRANCE: A newer Tattoo Parlor best known for piercings. Only one review on Yelp (props to Crystal) and nothing more. Yet, TripAdvisor and Google gave me more positive info and the confidence to walk-in. Yet, my inner-Frenchman said this was the place for my special tat! As I was walking over I passed by the Jeanne d'Arc memorial and all I can say... it was a sign! I finally reached the historic alley and I was pleasantly surprised how clean and artistic it was. I felt I was more inside an Art Gallery than Tattoo Parlor. DO YOU SPEAK FRANÇAIS: I was kindly greeted and mentioned I was a walk-in and interested in a tattoo. I was told in very broken English "the tattoo art yet isn't." I responded in very broken French "I'd wait until, oui, oui" lol. My 30-minute wait felt short sitting on the large black faux leather comfy sofa... I was pleasantly greeted by all who passed by. Even by the Parisian haute couture girls! Oh la la! Sam arrives and we chat what I want. I never just drop-in to any tattoo shop w/o knowing the artist first, yet with Sam, I felt a kindred spirit and a positive vibe! I had to get it done here! MY TATTOO: My tattoo is inspired by the heroics of Jeanne d'Arc and my love of Paris. Paris, the city she tried to free from the English, but ultimately was captured and burned at the stake. She became a martyr to the people of France and canonized a Saint by the Roman Catholic Church. She inspired Napoleon and later the French Resistance in Nazi-occupied France. And of course she inspires me! THE HANDSHAKE: After a few sketchings by Sam... Ideas going back and forth I decide to have it done here! I laughed and told Sam what was I thinking having the Saint of France being tattooed in London! After a few chuckles Sam gets down to business. Our only concern (more on his hesitation) was that Sam is a "New School" artist who emphasizes black and gray. I wanted "Realism" in color. Yet, I encouraged Sam that I have the confidence in him to just go for it. I gave the artist the freedom to be the artist! IN THE END: My experience with WILDCAT FRANCE was nothing less than spectacular! All the people I met were professional, friendly, and I felt a good vibe (ended up over three hours). The Tattoo Parlor was the cleanest and coolest I've ever visited. I walked out with my inspiration forever on my forearm. I will cherish this moment 'til my last breath. Sam was not only a fantastic "New School" artist but the nicest tattoo artist I've met. We became friends, exchanged Instagrams, and I'll be back to... WILDCAT FRANCE! Merci Beaucoup! Vive La France!

Tattoo shop. Piercings. This is what they do…read more I made an appointment the day before and paid a deposit at Abraxas. When I arrived for the appointment they directed me to Wildcat saying it was their other shop and my tattoo artist was there. So that is the first thing to know. If you like one place you might as well like the other. I arrived and the young lady that I met the day before was there about to do a tattoo. Yes, the shops are interchangeable. Her name is Masha and she drew and applied my tattoo. She speaks some English but doesn't feel she is good. Do not confuse this for rudeness she just doesn't know many words. This is d'accord because I don't know much French. We both fumbled around with each other's language but all was well because I got my tattoo and she got paid. I told Masha that she was fast and she didn't understand so I said, "Schnell". She smiled. She doesn't speak German either but it was close enough. I've looked it up and the French word for fast is "vite". My tattoo is small and it took her maybe 5 minutes to ink it. In and out (she was running 45 minutes behind though). This was my first ever tattoo. I cannot offer much about pricing (was it reasonable? I have no clue). I do not know the normal process or procedures. I drew my design ahead of time and she re-drew it in an appropriate size. Be sure to know proper treatment ahead of time in case there is a language barrier. My husband has 2 tattoos so I had already asked him. I did see after care to purchase if you need it. I keep Neosporin with me when I travel. I liked Masha. I liked Abraxas. Wildcat had cool decor and a well dressed male employee or maybe the owner sang (very well) to many of the songs. I love singing out loud. The French "Joie de Vivre" was alive in the shop. This was also my tattoo.

The experience: This is where I have my major regrets. I shouldn't have let a tattoo artist with so much contempt for his client tattoo me. I came in with a very specific ampersand design in mind I asked the french manager "Can you do this small delicate design" He was very sweet and said "Of course, I'll send you the tattoo artist upstairs." The artist was American and I heard him very clearly as he was coming up complaining to the nice french man over and over again "Ah f-ing hell, a small tattoo. F-me these tourists". It's my regret that I felt it would've been super rude of me to get up and leave and 'make a scene'. I should've left and eff looking rude. Now instead of a tattoo that's meaningful to me, I'm reminded of a time when I let someone treat me terribly. Biggest life lesson from this: Don't pay people to be jerks to you.

But recently I came in and asked for a tattoo, a very simple one (just a sentence on my arm), and the tattoo artist was so rude, extremely pessimistic and unprofessional. I left the store because of his attitude and refused to get tattoed by him. I will never come back and i will not recommend it to anyone just because of this tattoo artist. Sorry but being professional and welcoming is too important, especially for this kind of practice.

We called them from Brittany to schedule an appointment & they said they didn't take appointments by phone. So we took an earlier train into Paris & went straight to the shop. We made the appointment for the next day, Saturday at 7:30...confirming the time several times. They asked for a $50 euro deposit. My dad gave them $60 euros. We came the next day at the time we were told & the owner said they were closed & that the appointment was at 5:30. The had our number, but never called. I really wanted a tattoo while in Paris, so I searched frantically at 7:45 on a Saturday until I found a tattoo parlor that was open & friendly & said they could take me on Sunday at 3pm. The place is called Abraxas. Everyone there is fabulous. Ask for Victor if you don't speak French, he will gladly help you. Mika did my tattoo & was amazing. It was my first tattoo & I was nervous, but he was gentle & totally made me feel relaxed. In fact, I nearly fell asleep! I plead with you not to give your business to Dragon Tattoo...they are undeserving, rude & overpriced.
