Skinny older guy with the grey hair and mustache, you have no idea how to do business. Wanted a 12 pack of dew and right on top of the "discount" pile there was a super beat up one that is completely covered in oil and held together by scotch tape. I figure maybe the package is just messed up or something so I ask him if I can have it for $5 as the "discount" pile usually goes for $6 as far as it goes for 12 packs of pop and no the ones there are never damaged or or anything else weird. He says sure. The box is oily so I ask for a bag. Get home and 2 of the cans are already more than half empty. My wife looks at the cans and sees they have expired in January as well which wasn't visible on the box because of how messed up it was. I take it back and tell the guy what's up. He immediately says I can take my $5 back and go as he sees me already grabbing another 12 pack of dew. I was about to offer to pay the difference for one that wasn't destroyed if the expiration date checked out. He then says I can take it if I take two cans out? Before I can tell him I'd like to pay the difference for the whole thing he says "$1... give me $1 and you can take it." at this point I'm done with his attitude. I tell him how he shouldn't even charge me the difference at this point since I had to drive back because somebody there knowingly put two busted cans in the box then put fresh scotch tape on it. He says if I want 12 cans I should pay the $6 I tell him I offered $5 because the box was covered in oil and taped together not because there were only 10 cans. He repeats himself. I tell him if the damned box had a label on it that said there were only 10 cans in it I would've grabbed a good one for a dollar more. He repeats himself again. I told him that I don't appreciate the attitude and after having to drive back for the issues that weren't obvious, expired, 2 busted cans, and that after knowing that he should've been nice enough to just let me switch it out but that I was fine with paying the difference until he started acting like a greedy old goblin. I paid the dollar and then told him that ill not be back only for him to make his point again about how if I wanted 12 cans I should have paid $6 wow right? For the hell of it I remind him that had the box had a label on saying it was expired and only had 10 sealed cans in it I would've grabbed one without those problems. He says "ok, have a nice day" while waving at me like I should leave already. I tell him it was nice doing business there in a clearly sarcastic tone lol
I don't care if you're having a bad day. Never take it out on your customers, friends or family. read more
