Bbq chicken @3. Katsu Chicken Plate

This place never disappoints when I'm craving Hawaiian meat and Mac salad. I call in the orders when I'm in a rush and within 10 minutes I get a TEXT that it's ready, that is very convenient and user friendly. Inside is very vibrant and quiet when I go.

Great service. Smoothie could have been better. Though it was milk based, it tasted more like a fruit smoothie. Menu seemed appetizing as they also had food items.

The food was fine. Each Hawaiian bbq place seems to do their specialties a bit differently, and that's what probably makes them unique. I ordered the katsu chicken and bbq beef combo. Compared to other places I definitely liked this beef, it has a good thickness to it. Katsu chicken was fine. No complaints. Macaroni salad was fine too. Even though they have a few tables and chairs indoors, the place isn't really conducive to indoor dining if you're wanting a full sit down dining experience (my 2 cents). It appears most will order takeout. But there is some outdoor seating that works well on a nice evening like this particular visit. The one downside is that while placing my order on their ordering kiosk, it asked me for a tip before checkout. Um....this was before a single worker had even spoken to me. So I didn't know what the tip was for.....use of the kiosk maybe? Even after that I was handed the food without the employee saying anything to me. So, that whole tip thing didn't make sense to me.

First time here. Easy kiosk takes your order if you want to skip the line

I really wanted to like this place. I don't like taking off stars. So why only 3 stars? It wasn't the location or condition of the property itself. The ambiance is nice. The location is easy to find within Crossroads Shopping Center next to Wally World (aka Walmart). The place was clean. The kiosk to order your food is a plus. The prices were reasonable. The selection of smoothies, boba teas, and appetizers were decent. I take off two stars for two things. I ordered the combo plate with BBQ chicken and Short Ribs. Both meats were very salty for me. I know other love really salty flavors. Not me. They offered soy sauce packets on the side too and there was no way I using those! I think both meats had been drowned in them. If they were not so salty, I think it would be so much better and then people can add soy sauce if they live in Salty, USA. The other star was the kimchi. Was that kimchi? It looked like kimchi but it lacked the spice and fermentation of kimchi. It looks like they work hard here. The food came out in decent time. The server was friendly. Lots of good things here. With some modifications, this place would step out of the slow lane and into the fast one. It is called 101 for a reason. I wish them well.

Good boba, good smoothies, good mac salad. Haven't tried the main dishes yet so I will have to come back!

First time here. Walked in greeted by a sweet lady. I got katsu chicken and crispy shrimp plate with rice and Mac salad. They wasted no time in getting my meal to me. The food was hot and there was a lot. The Katsu was crispy and not greasy. The Shrimp was a little over battered for me but was still good. Now the Mac salad they got it down excellent taste. The inside was cute. They had fresh water you can drink while waiting which I took advantage of. I'll be back.

Garlic chicken combo - huge portion

Solid lunch spot when you are in the mood for crispy/ fried food. We sampled the chicken katsu and garlic chicken combos. The garlic chicken reminded me of "popcorn chicken" and had a nice sweet glaze. Portions are huge and can probably be shared if you aren't overly hungry. The combos come with 2 scoops of rice and a choice or salad/Mac salad or kimchi. I also scored a complimentary Thai tea with my first online purchase. It was a nice touch. I don't think I'd go out of my way to return for boba drinks but I'll definitely be back again for lunch.

Nice location with free outdoor parking, they have order machine on site. I came here during lunch time, the lady here greeted me nicely and get my food ready pretty fast. The garlic chicken is crunchy and tasty. The macaroni salad is lacking a bit flavor. $13 something for a meal. Good experience overall.

Cute interior!! A cool kiosk to order food which is an accessible option for many. On the kiosk however I wish there was an option for rice + kimchi + extra veggies. Not necessarily quick but its very delicious sit down restaurant quality food so it makes sense. Great variety. Great amount of food for the price as well.

Small Taiwanese restaurant. Doris and her husband run the shop. Both are very sweet and welcoming. We've tried several dishes and I'll just recommend the food we liked. The Garlic chicken is by far the best dish they have. Lots of flavor, texture is good and great portions. The "torpedo" shrimp is also delicious. Try it out

These were probably some of the best Kalbi Short Ribs i've had! The meat was tender and not hard at all and flavor of the meat was delicious. I got a Passion Fruit Iced tea with lychee jelly and the sweetness of the iced tea went well with the kalbs short rib plate. The workers were nice but it did take quite a while for the food to come out, maybe about 30 minutes. The inside of the restaurant is decorated so cute and they even have a little spot in their counter where they sell cute keychains and pins.

I tried this place on Oct. 12th and had a good experience. The cashier was super friendly and easy to converse with. I like that the prices are very fair. The red bean sesame balls were delicious! I wouldn't mind going just for that. The chicken katsu was good! The fried spring rolls were not my favorite and I would not get again. The inside was just mush. The whole inside is super clean and neat. Even the restroom was spotless clean.

Oh boy, real Santa Maria BBQ! Woo Hoo! Tri-Tip is the name of the game in these parts so that's what I'm doing. Got the Tri-Tip Dip and a side of BBQ sauce so I could have it both ways. I was really looking forward to these West Coast Chili Beans too. Wife wanted BBQ Chicken so I got her the BBQ Chicken Combo. I asked the girl at the register if we could get dark meat with the combo. She looked a little confused and said "You mean like Tri-Tip?" Oh boy. No, dark meat chicken like a thigh and drumstick. "Oh, do you want a breast or a thigh?". Let's roll with the thigh, thanks. Our food came out pretty quickly. I asked for horseradish for the Tri-Tip Dip and was politely told they don't have any. Silly me, why would they have horseradish when they sell a French Dip Sandwich? The Tri-Tip Dip was decent. Not going to lie. The West Coast Chili Beans were a disappointment. I expected so much better. The BBQ sauce was runny and tastes like molasses and maple syrup. Nah, Stick with the Au Jus and you will be fine. The Chicken Combo was a train wreck. Beans cold, rice cold, chicken overcooked by a mile. It's not easy to overcook the hell out of dark meat chicken but they found a way. Wife not happy, at all. It's another one and done. All 4 of us ordered the Tri Tip sandwiches. The tri tip was very flavorful! probably the best tri tip I had ever had. TH=here was some good smoke flavor in that meat. Sliced very thin, it was so easy to eat. No fighting the meat. Bread was buttered. BBQ on the side was Sweet Baby Ray's. I found that the BBQ sauce took away from the sammich, so I did very little dipping. If I come again, which I hope I do, I will order that sammich, but prepared in the same manner in which they prepare the roast beef sandwich. We took some chile verde sausages home to try, and those have a strong and memorable chile taste. For people who do not like spicy, beware. For the rest of us it is a satisfying burn. It is a pork sausage. Wife denied the purchase of the blackberry habanero sausage, so I will be left wondering about those. We also grabbed their pesto mayo. We will be trying that this week. I think I would have liked it on my tri tip sammich. I love pesto on anything. Place ain't cheap, but what is?

The first time we went, we were offered warm bread and butter, which didn't happen this time. After I finished my beer, I set the glass on the edge of the table. The waitress came by and checked on the tables on both sides of us and didn't even look our way so I had to go to the bar and order my own second beer. Because we were assured on time, I didn't wanna complain about the overdone filet mignon so I choked half of it down at the end of the meal. The oak grilled open faced rib-eye sandwich was absolutely incredible. I'm not exaggerating when I say it had more flavor than Wolfgang Puck's CUT. The rib-eye was perfectly cooked to the medium temperature I requested, tender enough to bite through without a knife, and seasoned exactly the way Santa Maria style beef should be. So many places are too conservative with the seasoning these days, but they got it just right. Even the bread underneath the steak was perfect. It didn't even need salsa, but of course I tried it both ways. Honestly? I couldn't decide which I liked better because the sandwich was outstanding on its own. We also ordered the linguiça appetizer with garlic bread. The linguiça had that slight char from the grill that gives it so much flavor, and the mustard served alongside it was the perfect pairing. My mom ordered the prime rib sandwich with grilled onions and chose the 50/50 fries and grilled onions. The only minor criticism I have is that it wasn't quite a true 50/50 and could have used a few more grilled onions. Other than that, it was delicious. The pinquito beans have a little kick, so if you're sensitive to spice, keep that in mind. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing. The whole meal took me right back to growing up in the Santa Maria Valley cruising Broadway on Saturday while the entire town smelled like oak fired Santa Maria barbecue. We cook a lot at home, and we're pretty serious about our beef, so eating steak at restaurants is usually disappointing because very few places compare. That's why I was so impressed today. This wasn't just a good sandwich.. it was one of the best rib-eye sandwiches I've ever had. To whoever was running the grill today: outstanding job. You absolutely nailed it.
