La Garriga is your neighborhood spot while you are in Spain. No one speaks English here and there…read moreis no translated menu. The food, wine, and ambiance are all spectacular. Mingle with locals, have a glass (or several) of local Spanish wine, and try some of the several types of cured ham they have. You can even get some meat or cheese wrapped to go, truly a local deli.
I stopped by twice in three days as I was staying at a hotel around the corner. I had the Jamon Iberico sandwich (the pulguita/small size) and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The bread was a little tough but similar to bread you would find at a local French bakery. I also tried a mini hamburger and several croquettes. Everything was delicious. This place is standing room only and you will be able to pick out food by pointing at the items in the case in front of you. They also take credit cards which is nice.
