Just took my business finance DBPR test yesterday and scored a 93.3%. I started studying 6-8 weeks ago. Never attended a live class due to time constraints but I watched the recorded ones multiple times and they were a HUGE help. TRUST MR LAWSON! He is absolutely spot on with the way he explains to navigate the books, how to prepare, time management, and bonus memory joggers and acronyms for common questions. Mr. Lawson did a wonderful job at preparing me for the test! Very efficient and effective. Thank you! The most important part is knowing every index, table of contents, table of articles, overall layout, definitions sections etc. I took the test in Boynton and it was a very good experience. No surprises. There was actually less trickery than I expected. I got the premium package from 1 exam prep, where all my manuals were tabbed and highlighted and I feel like it was worth the money. I bought the course and all books for Registered Residential Contractor. I emailed them about some help with a few questions to which I did not get any reply for a week. I finally was promised by the owner that he would call me or email me back but again did not get contacted. I texted the owner Rob, to which he called me back and started cursing and later texted me nasty outrageous gibberish. I ended up passing my exam on second try a few days later to the spat with the owner. I tried to call them about their book buyback program. Nedy was the lady who has originally sold me everything and she was the one that told me that I should take pictures of the books and email to her. Once she spoke with the owner, he declined to take the books back. I only used the books for a month and they are in excellent condition. I am in the hole for hundreds of dollars. Terrible company! First of all, I was lied to about the book buy back program. I was told that they buy them back at 50% of what you pay but when I returned them in excellent condition I was told I would only receive $425 after paying almost $1000 for the books originally. (Not to mention the $150 for tabs) The practice tests that they provide with the paid class has answer keys that have several incorrect answers on them! They need to go through all of them and fix the mess! Then I paid them to submit my application for contractors license and they have done nothing but sit on my application. I told them I want a refund and I can't even get a response from them. The only time they return your email is at the very beginning when they want your money. Stay away! read more

I highly recommend 1exam prep for your licensing needs. Chris always answers his phone and helped me through multiple hurdles. They have a solution for almost anything! I did the exam prep for the financing and trade exams through them and passed with flying colors. I did nothing beyond studying their materials. I did buy a computers study guide and it was trash. Answers were wrong, typos everywhere. I ended up not using it at all and only went with the material from 1examprep. The videos on demand are great and allow you to work at your own pace. I signed up for the 6-month virtual class and review exams which included all the on-line, self-study material, (practice questions for each book, practice exams), live review classes, current books, etc. The self study worked best for me, but the classes helped too. Overall, the course was great. If anything, it overprepared me. They said, "If you do all the practice exercises, you'll pass." I did that and I passed all the exams the first time - no problems.
