Terrible service, requested a taxi, was really clear to all of they had a car available, was told that they did and that it would be ten to fifteen minutes. The taxi arrived over an hour later, really screwed up my plans as I had to make d long walk across unlit Port Meadow in deep mud. I called and ordered a taxi, the man on the phone was very rude and seemed annoyed that I was calling, to order a taxi, from his taxi service. He said the taxi would arrive in 10 minutes. I called 15 minutes later when no taxi arrived and he said the driver couldn't find me (even though I was right by the road). He said they would send another. Ten minutes later I see the taxi coming down the street, I'm waving frantically but he doesn't look up from his phone and drives past. I call the service and they say the driver couldn't find me. I have up at that point and called a different taxi company which had no trouble finding me and arrived promptly. This company has rude staff, and poor service. Don't waste your time, call literally any other taxi service in the area. read more

Reviews from '08 show good positive points. My experience? Shocking... driver arrives 5 minutes early, calls once from his car, tell him we're on way out, come down and he's driven off!! Call the office and get told driver is only required to wait 5 minutes max otherwise he will no show it, meaning his customer has not shown up... happened once? No. Twice? No many many times. Now we're familiar with Oxford I have found a firm. Reliable, very polite drivers and always fair with their fares. Not as cheap as 001 but you pay peanuts you get monkeys! 001 should pay their drivers a fair wage so that they are more patient and polite. I will try them again in January 2018 and update on differences. read more

The ride was good, the car was nice, however we were charged £10 more than the estimate when we booked.

I received a text to say my taxi was outside so I made sure my house was safe to leave (3 mins max) and went outside. No sign of taxi. I tried to call head office and after 15 mins I got through. They did apologise and ordered me another taxi. 25 mins later the taxi arrived. I was then late for my Christmas party and explained this to the driver as I was reluctant to pay full fee but I knew it was at not his fault. He said if I called head office they would be able to offer me a return journey for the same amount of money as the first journey as it was going to be after 12am when fairs would go up. I called head office and the guy just laughed at me. Very unprofessional. I asked to speak to a manager and he said no one was available. I won't be using them again which is unfortunate as I've had such good service from them in the past. read more

Of the multitude of taxi companies in Oxford, 001 are among the best. Their service is quite prompt, though understandably it can take some time in the evenings, especially on the weekends. They are quite happy to accommodate requests (such as transporting large amounts of luggage) if you phone them in advance. You get a text from the company when your taxi is about to arrive, telling you what kind of car and what colour it is; alternatively the driver may ring you on your mobile to say they have arrived. The drivers themselves are very friendly. Interestingly, if you are looking to travel to Heathrow airport from Oxford and there is a group of you, it can be cheaper to go via 001. I paid about £90 for five of us, which is roughly the same as what it would have cost on the coach, but with the added advantage of being picked up from home alongwith our luggage and being dropped off outside our terminal! Definitely worth considering. read more

I've used 001 taxis quite a lot and they've never been particularly great, but I'll never be using them again after one of the drivers threatened to physically assault me and their customer service laughed at me when I complained. Total lack of respect for customers and I don't believe that their drivers have been properly vetted. Awful company. read more

Myself and my 6 colleagues booked a 7 seater taxi for the evening of the 4th of July 3 weeks ago. We confirmed the booking on 5 separate occasions, 3 of which were on the day. We were delayed and were very diligent about keeping the company up to date. The last confirmation of the booking was made at 9.30pm at night for 3.30 am at which point we again confirmed a 7 seater vehicle and were quoted £100. A 4 seater turned up. Not only was there no apology issued, the dispatcher hung up on me when I got upset about there not being any concessions made for this monumental mistake. We had already been travelling for 14 hours! I regularly used 001 for business generating on average £400 p/m for your company. I will no longer be using the firm. They treat your customers and employees appallingly as the reviews on all other websites show. They have poorly trained, rude and abnoxious central office staff. I feel sorry of the taxi drivers who are affiliated with them. read more

Will they turn up nobody knows,waited an hour and a half on 4 occasions to pick me up outside Tesco after doing doing my weekly shop,my goods were defrosting,kept going back (inside Tesco to the 001 freephone) to enquire what is happening with the cab I'd booked and nobody there had a clue ,one time the excuse was traffic,then " when did you book it " and another time " we have no record that you have booked it" then played me some music as the excuse that the controller was to enquire what was happening to my booking,let me tell you that I would still be there listening to that stupid music as I am typing this, it was just to get rid of me. read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST taxi company in Oxfordshire. Out of the 20 times I have called one of their taxis, they have been OVER 15 MINUTES late 12 times. They also sometimes don't show up at all, even if they have sent you a confirmation e-mail and a booking reference. Least reliable service ever! On top of all that, many of their drivers are extremely rude. I took one of their taxis last week and the driver was not only ten minutes late, he also did not apologize and / or offer an explanation. He then had the nerve to complain TO ME about a variety of thngs. I had to listen to this man's whiny and patronising rant for the ENTIRE taxi journey. Oh also, don't bother complaining to their customer service - they are even more rude and unfriendly, will never apologize for their bad service and their general incompetence. After ringing them within 5 minutes of realising I'd left a bag in the cab I was told I could have it back if I paid £5 ... Common decency I would of reimburse the driving for coming back , but demanding it !!! what can i say bout this taxi company which is good um nothing i suppose except they have enough cars avaliable during certain nights of the week as for the rest of it i dont know wheather its a front for there slot machines inside which swallow ur money without playing a game or that there trying to be something that they are not i only ever traveled in there cars twice first time the driver was ok until he asked for 10.80 for a fair his control said would be 7.50 and second time asking to get a taxi from oxford train station to pear tree round about and being asked where the station is not ideal for a taxi company. read more

We always use 001 taxi's locally, they are always on time & reliable. Recently we decided to enquire about a taxi to the Cruise terminal in Southampton, returning from Heathrow airport. We received an email with confirmation of our booking in a short space of time, setting out pick up times , and the cost of both journeys. I have corresponded with Ella several times regarding this booking.
